Hi, I'm Jennie.
What can I tell you - well, I am a former City lawyer who walked the well-trodden path of boredom, apathy and despair at the corporate world, suffered a very clichéd burn-out and emerged with a passionate desire to design, create and to work with beautiful things and to help people to find the own inner-creativity to help them design weddings and events that shout their story from the rooftops.
After running away to the countryside, studying at the rather fabulous Cambridge Flower School and finally letting my creative side loose, Honeychurch & Bennet was born, named after my two favourite literary heroines (and inspiring, albeit fictional women) – Lucy Honeychurch and Elizabeth Bennet.
I work from a dedicated design studio, in a converted stable where you can pop in for a cup of tea and an in-depth chat about what you are looking for surrounded by flowers and ribbon (and the neighbouring horses and cows) in the shadow of mood boards covered in vintage wedding photos and inspiring bits and pieces. If you live further afield, pull up a chair, make yourself cosy and let's have an old fashioned chat on the telephone (or Skype if that's your thing).
I live with my husband and two gorgeous children in a pink thatched cottage with one dog, two cats, three chickens and a garden full of flowers. Rather marvellously (and entirely serendipitously) my daughter’s name is Flora.
